I bought the Talon 44 many years ago. It is by far my favorite pack I have ever used (I've used packs from Kelty, Mystery Ranch, Eberlestock, Mountainsmith, REI, Camelbak, Mammut, Marmot, Platypus, The North Face, and single day hikes with a few other brands.) I was impressed enough by the Talon that I bought a second one to replace my old one. I use it mostly for hauling large amounts of gear for day hikes and for over night trips. The fit is such that you hardly feel the pack on your back. My only complaints with the pack are that the material does tear if you're going a lot of off-trail travel through thick trees (although mine still withstood several years of such activity), and also, the pack straps are stretched and getting thin from years of very heavy packs. Pretty minor complaints considering how many years of heavy abuse I've put my pack through.
