Versatility Tested

Some girls like purses, I'm a backpack addict. I picked up this pack for commuting/work. The dedicated laptop compartment with space for files is great and lets me shove my climbing gear into the main compartment for post work decompression. On a recent trip home to WA, I didn't bring a pack for day backcountry touring - just my 70L pack for a multiday tour. I emptied out my Nebula and found the very front pocket fit my avy gear, the main compartment swallowed my extra layers, water, and food. 2 problems: 1) the back has no real frame support so the pack deforms rapidly with soft goods and 2) the water bottle pockets could not handle being dragged around in the snow a bit which I found to be absurd. No heavy abuse and there was nothing in the pockets, they just snagged on the snow and tore. I have had issues with the pack not holding its shape day to day as well, but found it particularly annoying while skiing. The pack can do it, but if it is to be billed as a 24/7 pack, a more supportive back panel would be great. Overall, I'm happy with the pack and use it every day for work. In a pinch, it works for the trail too.

1 week use, lightweight bag with many compartemen. Big storage, best for any activity. The height very long, better choose other model if you are not tall enough, feels to big for me because of the height. Will update after a month use...

Would buy again, but this one is still kicking years later

Overall I love this bag. I use it for just about everything. I use it in the rain where the small water resistant pouch has yet to allow any water in where I keep sensitive items. It's comfortable with heavy loads. I've put this bag to the test with hiking, school and even a GORUCK Tough event. The only issue I've had with this bag is over time the side pouches for holding water bottles have developed holes allowing water bottles to no longer be retained there. (by over time I do mean years before this ever became an issue.)

Great Product!

Couldn't be happier with this backpack. It's everything I was looking for and more. Will be using it primarily for travel and to keep my everyday carry items organized. Great pack for the urban environment, but big enough and comfortable enough for day hikes.

Best Pack I've ever owned. And I've owned quite a few!

I purchased a Quantum Real Red O/S five years ago. The side bottle holders ripped and I contacted Osprey to see if they would stand by this product. They sent me a brand new Nebula, and I am amazed at the quality of this product. Osprey stands behind the packs they produce with a warranty that is amazing. Osprey is the BEST!

Great Pack Except For the Bellyband

This company makes great products. I bought this bag for two family members.....our only complaint is that there is not a padded waist band....just a flimsy strap. Not good on long day hikes. It is good for general day use though. Also my water bottle always falls out so I keep it inside of the pack. I love the external stretchy back pocket. So handy. I wish I could retrofit it to have a padded band, then it would be perfect.

Love this Pack!

I never ever travel without my Nebula pack. It goes with me whether I have other luggage or not.

Versatile and Reliable

I mainly use the pack for school. It has a padded laptop sleeve that I can trust to keep my laptop safe and snug while I walk around campus. It has plenty of storage and compartments to keep my belongings secure. There are two sleeves, one that is padded (which I use for my laptop) and one that is just a thin sheet in the main pocket (which I use for a folder and notebook). I keep a change of clothes (as I often go immediately from work to class) in the main compartment, and keep my chargers and pens/pencils/snacks in the other pockets. The side pockets are huge and can stretch to a great amount so it is no trouble to fit a 32oz Nalgene or Hydroflask in it. I put a carabiner on the pack's side clip and connected it to my Hydroflask as an extra precaution in case it falls while I bend down to pick something up. Not any fault of the bag's, just gravity doing it's job. I love the mesh pouch on the back, because I can easily put a jacket or hat into it for easy access. I love the pack when traveling, too. It fits perfectly under a seat as my "personal item" (not carry-on) and has plenty of storage for whatever I may need during the flight. Ultimately, the pack has plenty of storage and a variety of uses. The warranty that Osprey offers on all their packs is great. If you need a backpack that is versatile and reliable, look no further than Osprey's Nebula.

Awesome Bag

I have had this bag for about a year and a half and it still looks brand new. Well built and well thought out bag. The zippers open up nice a big giving lots of access. The double zippers allow access without having the entire opening unzipped. The side pockets are tucked away for streamline profile and offer easy access to charge cords or a snack bar. The bag works well if half full or fully loaded. Its an ideal size for a weekend trip. I can fit two large pack cubes in the main compartment with a small one on top. As long as the main compartment isn't over packed, the other compartments remain easily accessible and useable. In the spirit of continual improvement, one minor issue I found is the zipper pulls on the big zipper can pull out from under the clip of the zipper head...pretty minor though

Pretty awesome but..

I honestly really enjoy my bag, I am a nursing student and needed to up the size as my NorthFace Prewitt bag wasn't cutting it. The only negative on the bag is I can see some of the inner seams unraveling as well as the Logo is coming off! Keeping in mind I've only had it for less that 3 months.. Other than that great bag
