Professional skier & mountain guide

Professional Skier, Mountain Guide and former Freeskiing World Champion, Jessica Baker was raised on a small farm in the panhandle of Idaho among the glacially carved valleys of the Selkirk and Cabinet mountains. At a young age, Jessica's parents shared their multi-generational love of skiing, and as fate may have it, she too fell in love with the sport. At the age of 9, she began ski racing and competed in the Junior Olympics, FIS and Nor-Am circuits.

Jessica went on to race for the Bates college NCAA Division 1 ski team. After graduating with a BS in Geology and a thesis in climate change, she moved to Wyoming's Tetons, the birthplace of North American alpinism and hotbed of geologic wonders. With mentorship from the likes of Doug Coombs and many more, Jessica's ski career took front stage as she went on to compete in the World Tour Freeskiing Circuit, and ultimately into bigger technical mountains.

Known for her smooth fluid style in steep terrain and intrepid exploration on skis, Jessica has tagged first ski descents around the globe. Her many career highlights have spanned over 30 yeas, including numerous achievements in competitive and expedition skiing, countless appearances in adventure films and publications, including Outside Magazine, ESPN, etc. and founding Ski Divas LLC to offer women's ski camps worldwide. She also founded the first ski camp for Black, Indigenous, and women of color (BIWOC) and has been active in the DEI space, running an annual camp and scholarship fund for BIWOC skiers.

When Jessica isn't skiing you will likely find her teaching her two young daughters to appreciate the splendors of this planet, grow their own food, or snuggling in with a good book together. Jessica lives with her husband (fellow mountain guide) and two children in Jackson, WY.
