With my Farpoint 55, I could always latch the day pack in front, yet if I were going to the toilet, for instace I would need to have it detached from me. With the grabbag, I could have my important documents and small valuables with, ON ME. Even with my pants down it is still with me. But, being caution all the time is better than not doing so. It will be on the front or my side if I were to carry the day pack at the back for a day trip. it is much easier and lighter than my lumbarpack, hip pack waist belt ~
