IPX5 waterproof performance
Go ahead, embrace the rain. The gear you carry with you will still stay completely dry. That’s because the entire pack's interior is thoroughly protected—from a light drizzle to heavy showers—with an IPX5 waterproof (non-submersible) rating thanks to its fully RF-welded, TPU-laminated construction.
Ventilated, Adjustable backpanel system
Whether you’re hiking in heat and humidity, or through a downpour, the Downburst’s AirSpeed™ suspension provides category-leading fit, comfort and ventilation. It’s also designed to dry out quick. With 4" of torso adjustability, the ladder adjustment system delivers great fit and allows for fast, easy fine-tuning.
Gusseted front compression pocket
A rainy-day hike requires allllll the layers. Not to mention a few extra essentials in case you get wet. The rugged, gusseted front compression pocket on the Downburst manages overloads, keeping layers and shells accessible.
Water-Shedding Exterior Pocketing
For quick-access essentials and drying raincoats, non-waterproof pocketing on the pack's exterior, including bottle pockets, a large backpanel stash pocket and an external hydration sleeve, are made of breathable, water-shedding materials that'll dry quick.
