Get out the door for a long walk in the hills with Osprey’s Manta AG 20. The Anti-Gravity (AG) suspension system—combination of LightWire frame, mesh backpanel, BioStretch shoulder harness and AG hipbelt—distributes weight to keep you comfortable no matter how far you roam. Dual upper and lower compression straps help stabilize the load and provide add-on storage options if you have extra bulky gear.

The pack’s main compartment is accessed via a front zip panel so you can see all your gear at a glance. A series of well-designed pockets keep you organized on the trail. There’s a vertical zippered front panel pocket for securing small items. Dual side stretch mesh pockets provide space for extra water bottles and the hip belt has two zippered pockets for keeping trail snacks or a phone. A scratch-free zippered slash pocket provides safe harbor for your shades.

Additional storage features include a helmet attachment loop and Osprey’s Stow-on-the-go trekking pole attachment system to stash your sticks. An integrated removable raincover protects your gear if the weather rolls in.

This pack comes with a Hydraulics® LT 2.5 liter reservoir complete with Osprey’s magnetic sternum strap bite valve for instant access to fluids.

Fits a lot of gear and water. Very happy with it.

I bought this for day hikes especially for my epic 11 hour day hike summiting Mt. Katahdin in northern Maine. It fit so much, could hardly believe it was only a 20L pack. I LOVE the trampoline back, helps to keep you cooler. It held up really well especially considering I slid down many rock faces dragging the pack and there's really no wear to show. Highly adjustable straps and very comfortable for long durations. I'm a 5'9" 170lb male with a longer torso. Only problem I have is that the side pocket zippers are hard to close when wearing it, maybe it's just my short arms. Highly recommended!!

Hip pockets were a fatal flaw

I have a 20L pack from another company that is 90% perfect, but the frame lacks vertical rigidity. The Manta 20L seemed like a good solution, given that I absolutely LOVE my Osprey Porter 30L travel pack. When the pack arrived I was surprised by how heavy and bulky it is for such a small capacity, but I loaded it up and it was quite comfortable. However, I ended it sending it back for one fatal flaw: I simply could not get the hip belt zippers closed one-handed. I use these pockets constantly, they are the most important feature of a daypack for me, and the Manta 20L ones are poorly designed.
