We have always held all employees at the heart of what we do here at Osprey, from office-based staff to factory workers. We have continuously reviewed and optimised our working environments since 1974 in order to uphold a safe and enjoyable working environment for all. In 2020 we worked with external organisations to continuously raise the bar and increase transparency around our existing high standards.
Our entire supply chain, from design to warehousing, is regularly audited and updated with the most ethical practices.
We have a world-class Factory Code of Conduct which aligns with the standards set by the Ethical Trading Initiative. We’ve also partnered with the Worldwide Ethic Alliance to perform factory audits that ensure compliance and transparency.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS
As well as our business processes we are always looking for projects that have positive impact on the world around us, both locally and globally.
As full members of EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association) we have funded several major European projects as well as participated in awareness campaigns and initiatives. We partnered with EOCA to fund and support the Mountain Wilderness Project. This project cleared barbed wire and other man-made structures from delicate mountainside habitats across Europe. Locally we have supported the Osprey Reintroduction Project. Its aim was, and is, to promote the return of endangered birds of prey to the coast of Dorset, UK.
Most recently, we have partnered with the Nimsdai Foundation which has been established to give back to the mountain communities of the Himalayas; supporting educational, technological, and capacity-building initiatives which will guide the way for climbers of the future.

Environmental efforts count at both the highest and lowest levels. This mentality has been applied at our very own European office in a number of ways.
Osprey Europe HQ has always been equipped with solar panels and the most up-to-date energy efficient technology. Whilst greenhouse gas emissions are being measured, reduced and offset throughout our entire business.
