Osprey Ensures Hiking Needs!

Had a horrible experience with my bag that my husband got me as a gift that I packed to use for our trip to Peru; the straps literally were falling apart and tearing on me every time I put my bag on. This was devastating because this all happened the DAY we left for Peru. Called customer service and after communicating with them the issue I had, they helped make a connection with the Cusco location that was a distributor. The people at the store in Cusco were really awesome and it was as simple as switching bags out. My husband and I both are super grateful to Osprey for helping us make this connection, as we wouldn't have been able to continue traveling with the bag that I had and we couldn't afford to buy another one. It was a horrible situation that ended well thanks to Osprey and the distributor in Cusco. Thank you, Osprey for you help!

Best backpack for hiking and every day use

This is the most versatile backpack I own. I use it for 1-3 night light backpacking trips, week long personal travel, lugging workout clothes to work, and day hikes. It is small enough to be a carry-on item on airplanes, and has straps on the side and bottom where I can attach my sleeping pad, yoga mat, or whatever else I want to bring along with me. The bottom zip compartment is great to store shoes, and other things you might want to keep separate from the rest of your stuff. It is also SUPER comfortable for short and long periods of time. I own large 60+ liter packs and smaller day packs, but this is by far the pack I use the most - the size is perfect for so many occasions.

Fantastic Suitcase Replacement

I got this backpack as a luggage replacement. I couldn't be happier. I've taken my pack on a 2 week journey to 3 different countries so far. It was easy to lug around, and fits nicely into overhead compartments. As a busty and short woman (5'2" sporting D's) this backpack was completely comfortable. I was pretty mindful about how I packed, but this pack fit more than what I needed comfortably. I can't wait to go on more adventures with it!

Not what I expected

I got this to use as my climbing pack because, there are not many woman's specific packs designated for this. I was very pleased at how comfortable this pack was to hike with and how well it carried the weight. It's been a hard journey looking for a pack that fits properly and carries the weight on my hips not my shoulders (5'3" 105 lbs). While the pack is comfortable, when fully loaded with a rope, harness, and shoes, the brain doesn't completely go over the body and close the pack. The brain is really small and doesn't hold much. I've owned this pack for a couple of months now, but have only been able to use it during my weekends. With the little use it's gone through it already has a hole near the stitching on the bottom, not due to butt sliding on rocks during approaches or descents which can cause holes. The material of the pack isn't very strong. The hip belt pockets are not easy to access while hiking. While the pack was not ideal for my purpose and I'm displeased with it, I'm sure it would be great if I were only hiking with a small amount.

Seems to be perfect

I bought this pack 6 weeks prior to departure for the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I have been working with it -- loading my gear, hiking with it in all kinds of weather, getting to know it like a trusted friend. I am pleased that it will hold everything I need for 5 weeks of hiking (not camping). Fully loaded, pack is 19 pounds and size complies with airline carryon dimensions. Just wish it had another outside pocket and more places to clip things. Maybe it does. The tag said there is an online owners manual, but I haven't found it yet.
