I expected better

The rainfly does not fit over any size sleeping pad. Unfortunately instead of placing the attachment points for the sleeping pad on the bottom of the pack to avoid issues Osprey chose to put them closer to the center making it impossible to attach the pad and use the rainfly simultaneously. I had to walk down a mountain in the rain carrying my sleeping pad. This is not something any hiker wants to do, let alone six months pregnant. Makes for a very dangerous situation. I don't think I will be purchasing any osprey products in the future. For the price, more thought and testing should have gone into the design.

Comfortable pack

I love that this pack has so many pockets and compartments. I love the duel opening on the front and the top of the main compartment. The sleeping compartment seems a bit small. Gave this pack a 4 star rating because the hip belt pockets are too small. Can't fit my phone, which means my phone/ camera is not easily accessible. I put it in my water bottle pocket, but it is difficult to reach and vulnerable. This is my first hiking pack.

Good balance and feel

5

For day or 2 hikes and long walks with my partner. I experienced no discomfort during or after. It's a very good pack and highly adjustable. I have the smaller size and it adjusted perfectly for me at 4'11''. I'm surprised that the shoulder straps adjusted so well considering a smaller frame and the width between the two straps (for neck area) is actually considerably narrow for slight builds which suggests a pretty intelligent design. For a 10-12 km jaunt I didn't bother with the breast clip across the chest and the pack stayed in place like it was a part of me. It moves with you and feels pretty good. It is weightless overall and very good weight distribution, feels fantastic at the hips. I think I'll be using this for a long time yet. Very happy with the purchase.

Great product

I bought this bag as my first day pack, and am very happy with my purchase I've had it 4 two years now and it has been wonderful. I have enough space for all my gear and food, along with other people gear. The one downfall is my phone does not fit in the hip belt pockets easily. I really have to try to get it in so it's not worth it. Other than that the pack is awesome.

Perfect for multi-week walk

5

I bought this pack for the Camino across France. Keeping in mind that I didn't need to carry sleeping gear as I stayed in Auberges, this pack was perfect for a 3 week hike. -comfortable -lots of ways to adjust the pack as your body got tired over the course of the day or for different terrain -ample room -the rain cover worked very well -the mesh frame meant my back was rarely sweaty -note that the rain cover does not cover the hip belt pockets, so these get wet in the rain -I find the hip belt pockets not large enough for the things I need regularly, like my phone, so I didn't use them much -on a long hike like this I had 1L water bottles, and they don't fit in the mesh holders; it just meant that I had to stop whenever I wanted a drink and take my bottle out of the bag But I will say that the hip belt pockets/water bottle holders were pretty small points. Overall, I found this bag to be excellent and would recommend it to anyone.
