Growing up on the East Coast I found my love for cycling fresh out of college. At the same time I discovered many outdoor sports such as paddling, climbing, backpacking and skiing. In that same year I started racing mountain bikes which fulfilled my drive for competing and competition. One year later, at the age of 23, I entered my first adventure race of 500km. This is where I learned that I loved long distance racing and the other things it took to complete these events like sleep deprivation, team work, navigating and logistics. Twenty years later, I call Idaho home and still have not stopped long distance racing. The only thing that has changed is that I concentrate solely on long distance cycling events, preferring events that are several hundred miles long and longer. After many years in the construction business, I am now very proud to say I am a professional athlete in the cycling industry.
