The Global Climbing Initiative: Community Grants Program

Hear more from Osprey Partner The Global Climbing Initiative on their Community Grants Program. Applications are live from February 1 - February 29, 2024.

The Global Climbing Initiative recently announced that their Community Grants program is accepting applications! In their second year of the program, GCI looks to power climbing communities’ visions for the growth of climbing and the positive ripple effects that it creates. There are three grant categories: Environmental(Opens in a new window), Creative(Opens in a new window), and Social Impact(Opens in a new window). The awarded grants will provide funding for a range of initiatives from climbing organizations outside of the continental United States that share the vision of advancing global climbing and addressing inequities and systemic challenges in the climbing world.

The first application period is now open (February 1-29, 2024) for projects taking place between April and September of this year. If you think your organization’s initiatives would align with these grant categories, be sure to submit your application today(Opens in a new window)! There will be another grant cycle opening on August 1-31 for projects taking place between October 2024 and March 2025.

Osprey is proud to sponsor the Social Impact category of the community grant program this year. As a supporter of GCI’s mission + work, we are looking forward to learning more about the recipients of this year’s grants, and how their projects will work to positively impact the global climbing community.
