Good bag for a run commuter

4

I use this bag on my 7.5 mile run to work. It's been excellent for all my needs. I originally was going to buy the Dyna, which is the lighter running bag that Oprey offers. But this bag seemed more durable. And I'm already running with 10 pounds. The extra ounces of material doesn't matter at that point. My biggest compliant about the Sirrus 24 is the lack of places to to hook on a safety light. I've tried hooking lights to the side pockets which usually works but when you stick on the rain cover there is no place for a safety light and that is when I need it the most. Also the rain cover could be a bit more reflective. Other than that I love this bag. I'm a smaller person. After trying fifty other bags at the store, I found this bag to be the most comfortable and adjustable. I can tie it tight enough for a sung fit that I need while running. The frame keeps the load suspended and from bouncing around. 24 liters is perfect for all my needs--winter wool coat, office work clothes, dress shoes, make-up--etc, dry shampoo and lunch. And it doesn't look or feel like a clunky hiking bag, so I can still walk into the office with it.

Hydration Location

For the life of me, I can't find the opening to pass the hydration tube from the main compartment to the outside of the pack. Neither can my husband and he already has an Osprey pack with an obvious opening. I've been closing the zippers of the main compartment around the tube to keep it rom moving, but this just can't be right. I emailed customer service to ask about it but haven't received an answer.

Need a EASY access pocket for phone (camera)

4

Love the pack. Used it for a couple of long day hikes this past weekend. The big MISS on this pack (and on pretty much every other pack I looked at) was a CONVENIENT place to carry a phone. My phone is my camera when I travel/hike so I want to have a convenient, safe place to access it. I find it very frustrating that in 2017 they don't make a pack with a place to access a phone! The little pockets on the hip don't work for a phone - I have an iPhone 7 (not the Plus) and it's still too large to fit in the little zip pocket. Yes, I can get it in, but it is SOOOOO not worth the struggle. PLEASE consider this as an option in the future. Honestly for $130, it should be a standard feature. The only other comment would be to have another pocket on the inside to throw things in that is not just the deep pocket along the back.

Hydration problem

3

Comfortable pack with good capacity and flexible loading options. I use it for hiking and skiing. One problem though - the opening for the hydration tube is way too small. It is difficult to get the bite valve, shut-off valve and clip through the slot. I didn't expect this flaw in a modern pack.
