When training for some of the world’s toughest ultra-races, Katie finds her pace on the nearly endless trails in the Eastern Sierra. Her hard work pays off. Since 2021, Katie has secured three consecutive top-10 finishes in the Western States 100-miler, securing one of the fastest times in its 50 year history in 2023. Katie is happiest on mountain adventures with friends and is thrilled when trail runners gather in her back yard at the Mammoth Trail Fest every September. Katie also works with the Professional Trail Running Association, advocating for a women's participation in trail globally.

In addition to her running career, Katie spends much of her time treating underserved populations as a nurse practitioner. She considers her kids, Noa and Liam, her two biggest accomplishments.
