For the past 15 years, the packs that Osprey has donated to Durango Devo have been an incredible asset to our coaching team and a quiet hero on every ride. Durango Devo is a non-profit and could not afford to equip our coaches with packs of this quality and it helps our coaches stay organized and prepared on the trails.
When our coaches head out on the trail with a group of kids, they carry far more than just their own gear. Inside their packs are tools, first aid supplies, extra snacks, water, and all the little necessities (stickers, bubbles, games, glitter) that keep a ride running smoothly and fun. Osprey packs give our coaches the confidence and capacity to be prepared for anything whether that’s a flat tire, a scraped knee, or a hungry rider who needs a quick boost.
Osprey’s long-term support has directly impacted the quality of our programs and the experience of every rider on the trail. These packs don’t just carry gear—they help our coaches do their jobs better, support young riders with confidence, and create positive, memorable riding experiences.

Osprey's Vietnam Team road tripped around the country to donate packs to local children through Kids in Ha Giang. They donated 1020 backpacks as well as books and lollipops for the kids. They were happy to receive so many gifts during Christmas. The team visited 7 vilages in Mậu Duệ and 6 villages in Mèo Vạc.

"It was so meaningful to be in an environment that is the most comfortable and affirming space that I have ever experienced"
In May of 2025, we welcomed 30 volunteers from all over the country to TVOP's Basecamp property in Southern Vermont for a week of community, learning, and connection. These outdoor leaders were hand picked from a massive pool of applicants for a few select positions, and spent the week developing their skills as event organizers and facilitators. They received Wilderness First Aid training, Wilderness Mental Health training, DEI training, Group Dynamics training, and more. At the end of the week, they each returned home to lead events in their community, bringing LGBTQ+ people outside and into connection with themselves and nature all across the country. Osprey's packs have been a vital element of showing our appreciation for these volunteers, and making their events possible. Each volunteer received a pack full of first aid supplies and other necessary tools to host events, and they each carry these packs with them in the field.

Without the backpacks that Osprey so generously donated to The Colorado High School Cycling League, we would not be able to safely or efficiently manage our huge race events each year. We have had a successful partnership with Osprey since 2011 and look forward to many years to come. The people who use the backpacks at our race venues are course marshals and rovers who keep the event safe as well as the volunteers who set up and take down the race course. We also have packs that some staff use for travel to and from the events.
The backpacks that Osprey has donated are filled with gear that help with communication and potential emergency situations that could arise. The races which have approximately 1300 high school students racing total each weekend (a little over 900 at the State Championships) were all very successful. Students from around the state of Colorado as well as teams from New Mexico, South Dakota and Wyoming attend with their coaches and families. The course marshals and rovers monitor the race with the Osprey packs filled with communication and emergency supplies to support potential issues that could happen during the races. As a whole the races went smoothly, but when medical events or weather events occurred those marshals and rovers were able to use the gear in the backpacks to make sure all racers were able to make it back safely to the event start.

Osprey's Vietnam Team went on a journey of emotions to central Vietnam over the summer. They made a deep connection with local people and culture. 850 packs were donated and the team can't wait to return again and bring more support for more schools in the future.

Our 32 seasonal trail crew members live and work in the backcountry all summer long. They climb a fourteener every time they head to 'the office.' Top-shelf, durable, well-designed gear is absolutely essential, and Osprey Packs, once again in 2025, helped us by outfitting our entire crew with packs that can endure the stresses of the job. We couldn't be more grateful for the support."
