This May, Osprey joined longtime partner, The Conservation Alliance, on their annual D.C. Fly-In(Se abre en una nueva ventana). Osprey was one of 23 member companies to participate in an action-packed three days in which The Conservation Alliance team held 65 meetings on Capitol Hill with elected officials, key staff and federal agencies.

Why did we go? To advocate for the protection of public lands and waters.

Osprey participated in 15 meetings with offices from both sides of the aisleconcentrating on the Four Corners region where our headquarters are located. We brought the outdoor business voice to D.C. to share our concerns about funding and resources for land management agencies, the Roadless Rule, national monument protections such as Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, protection against large-scale public lands sell-offs and more. We advocated for greater transparency and collaboration in decisions about public lands management.

Osprey has been a member of The Conservation Alliance for over 20 yearsbecoming a Pinnacle Member in 2024We joined The Conservation Alliance because we felt strongly that we needed to invest into the wild places we love, so we can continue to enjoy and recreate in them for generations to come. Our support for public lands and waters has a long history and TCA will help us continue this essential work. It is important for us to participate in the D.C. Fly-In because advocating for public lands is crucial to ensuring the future of outdoor recreation. This is not only important to our staff and customers, but also to the existence of our business.

We know that our work isn’t done following this D.C. Fly-In. We will continue to show up and advocate for the landscapes that we test our products on, where our staff and customers love to explore and the wide open spaces surrounding our headquarters in Southwest Colorado. Join us in making your voice heard. Advocate for the public lands that make this country special. Together, our collective voice is impossible to ignore.
