Bhavana and Shashank are engineers during the week, but their weekends and vacation days are always spent hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, chasing the Milky Way, scuba diving or traveling. They have two kiddos who accompany them on all of their adventures.

Being environmentally conscious, they reduce their carbon footprint at home and when they travel by eliminating single-use plastic from their lifestyle, leaving no trace and upcycling items.

Bhavana and Shashank have a strong sense of community. Bhavana actively encourages South Asian women to explore the outdoors and helps them plan their hiking and backpacking trips, while Shashank conducts free landscape and night photography workshops for novice photographers.
