Q&A

How did you first get into Skiing?

My first time on skis was at the age of two. My parents strapped skis to my feet and just pushed me down a hill. For that I’m thankful because by the age of 16 I was racing. As time went by crashing gates gradually became less important, and even became tiring and boring. A few years later I found myself skiing in the backcountry. That´s what my heart beats for.

If you had to give one piece of advice to someone starting to Ski, what would it be?

No matter the conditions, a day on skis is a good day.

What is the most challenging or rewarding Ski Competition/Expedition you have achieved?

That´s a difficult one. I can´t really pick a single occasion. For me, It´s about all the little moments which make you pause, smile and think “thank you”. All of the adventures create amazing memories which I´ll most likely never forget and that´s the biggest gift which can ever be given to someone. Travelling is more than just getting from A to B, seeing different places, get to know about cultures, meeting amazing people. That´s all great but more importantly, you learn. You grow. You learn to appreciate and be grateful for what life brings along. In the end, for me, that´s the biggest reward.

What are your aspirations for 2020?

To fully recover from injury and start skiing again, along with finishing movie project in Norway.

Kresta 20

The Kresta is my daily companion, it is small, light but still offers space and organisation.

This backpack is particularly comfortable to wear, especially when skiing. It is very important that the backpack does not limit my freedom of movement – the Kresta is my absolute number one!
