I want to make 1 new recipe a week that I have never tried before, with ingredients that I don't usually use and share with friends. Broaden my tastebuds with Taste-buds!

Rafael Pease, Snow Athlete

My new years resolution is to climb more mountains than I did last year and get more powder turns as well.

- I will continue to advocate and invest in the outdoor industry by empowering others with knowledge in how to make it accessible and inclusive for all. The goal of bridging the outdoor recreation industry and Deaf community is an on-going mission.

- I will host more ASL Climbing and ASL Hiking events! There is nothing better than seeing the Deaf and ASL outdoor community growing!

- I plan to take my Deaf Dog Ariel hiking more often! I want us to experience her 1st mountain summit! She has come a long way since I got her 4 years ago from a shelter! She picked me!

- For the past 2 years, I have been working towards clearing my 3rd teaching credential which is scheduled to be completed in May of 2026! As an ASL Educator and Teacher, I am grateful for each day I get to encourage and support students.

- I fell in love with ice climbing and hope to have more opportunities to enjoy it!

- Organize a group of advanced women boaters to tackle running the ridiculous Little Salt wash in Fruita. Document it for a company willing to give us product and be up to support something weird and dumb.

- Go bike packing for my first time ever!

- Continue my Mustache Project where I shoot portraits of my female friends wearing fake mustaches.

- Learn to make sourdough pizza crust

- Shoot photos for a gravel event like Unbound

- Get in the gym more, embrace the lifestyle changes and create health goals around acceptance of my middle aged lady status.

- Spend more time riding bikes in the PNW.

- Get all my friends to come rides bikes in the PNW

- Get better at using strobe lighting

- Finish a documentary film! (making one, not watching one, that's easy...)

Being more intentional in everything I do. Choosing clothes, food, activities, and words!

My partner and I are going single-use plastic free for the 2026 calendar year! No more chips that come in single-use plastic, no more to-go iced coffee orders, unless I bring my own reusable cup. No more online shopping, especially if the packaging is single-use plastic. As for future Osprey pack orders, I might just have to stop by the warehouse in-person to pick up my next order.

My New Year's Nugget is to explore my new home of Portland, Oregon with lots of bikepacking trips, hikes, and surfing!

Trevor Ogborn, Ecommerce Manager

I want to learn basic trail-building techniques so I can put a small walking trail around my home. I want to spend more time enjoying the nature right in my backyard, and being able to weave a path between the juniper, piñón, and scrub will open some fun opportunities to explore with my friends and family. Last year I was able to really lean into whitewater kayaking and level up my skills and confidence. I'm excited to revisit some of my late-season unlocks (San Miguel, Cache la Poudre, Numbers, Royal Gorge, Rockwood, etc.) at higher water and seek out more out-of-state rivers to push myself even further with the sport this year.

I want to make an effort to connect with friends and family more regularly, whether through calls, texts, or in-person visits.

My new years nugget is to embrace a year of celebration! I feel like I have spent a lot of my life and career so focused on getting to the next level, step, accomplishment, that I don’t spend anytime enjoying what I have done and where I am at. This spring I am getting married to my long term partner Todd Ligare. I think planning a wedding really gives a chance to look at life and prioritize celebration. I am hoping to live in the gratitude this year and hopefully share that with my friends, family and community!

My new year's resolution is to embrace becoming a first time parent while also going after my big race goals later in the year. And being inspired by all the racing moms out there and hoping to add to that inspiration with my own journey.
