A FRESH NEW LOOK FOR TALON.

A GROUND BREAKING NEW BENCHMARK

FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN.

It's the earth beneath our feet, the canopies that rise above and the waters that flow around us that ignite our passion for the outdoors. The limited-edition Desert, Tundra and Ocean Talon Earth packs embody our ardor, setting a new bar for innovation and sustainability as Osprey's first-ever bluesign® product.

We've achieved this designation without compromising the incredible fit, durability or dynamic functionality that Talon is known for, making Talon Earth our most sustainably made technical daypack to date.

How'd we do it? By sourcing recycled fabrics inside and out, top to bottom, that meet bluesign® approved criteria. From zipper chains and webbing to labels, Talon Earth is our most thorough application of recycled materials yet, helping reuse instead of recreate in every instance we could. We didn't stop with fabric and thread either. Roughly half of the plastic hardware is also bluesign® approved and made from certified-renewable natural gas.

Since 2021 we've been a bluesign® System Partner, redesigning our packs and products with bluesign® approved fabrics and demonstrating that the materials we source meet their rigorous third-party criteria for sustainability, safety and integrity. Our goal is to have 90% bluesign® approved fabrics across our entire catalog of packs by 2023.

The bluesign® product designation takes it another step further, signaling that the entire end product–beyond just the fabrics–meets bluesign® criteria.

  • A minimum of 90% bluesign® approved fabrics/yarns
  • A minimum of 20% bluesign® approved accessories
  • Any remaining fabrics, materials or components must come from a qualified supplier
